Tomato sauce

For pasta or pizza, always a little different but this is my basic way:

This amount is for 400g of unbroiled pasta (2 servings) or 2 trays of Pizza:

6 handful size tomatoes
1 handful onion
2 table spoon vegetable oil
100ml vegetables broth
Pepper
Who wishes to have this with pasta also needs:
Fresh basil
1 garlic clove
Who wishes to have this with pizza also needs:
1 teaspoon rosemary either dried or fresh
1 teaspoon thyme fresh or dried
1 garlic clove

Cut tomatoes and onions into cubes. Heat the oil in a pan and  sauté onions until transparent, if you like, let them in there until they are crunchy.

Add the tomatoes.

*make sure you have the tomatoes cut before you heat the oil in the pan, the onions get burned very easy (learning by doing makes the best chefs)*

Add the broth and let it simmer at low temperature.

By the time the tomatoes are soft boiled,  lower the heat to the minimum and add the last ingredients.

For the pasta:

Pepper

Who wishes:

1 garlic clove

The fresh basil should be added directly on the plate.

For pizza:

1 teaspoon rosemary either dried or fresh
1 teaspoon thyme fresh or dried
1 garlic clove

Enjoy!
